Books are a great storytelling tool for its almost limitless potential. You don’t have to worry about acting or special effects. You just have to make sure that, well, the writing is good. The slasher is one of my absolute favorite subgenres of horror and to see it unhampered in this novel by Ivy Tholen
Marrying into a family is scary territory, I would imagine. You might know the person you’re marrying but what of the people they live with? And who exactly were they before they wooed you in. Maybe you worry too much? Or maybe your worries are not so unfounded? Maybe it’s more terrible than you thought.
Grady Hendrix is turning out to be a very entertaining voice in the horror lit community, and for me, it’s not hard to see why. With his hybrid of dark humor and even darker horror, Mr. Hendrix has carved his own niche in the genre. His novel, “My Best Friend’s Exorcism”, is a solid entry
